Privacy

What the site collects, why, where it is kept and how to have it erased.

This site counts its visits without identifying you. For each page viewed, the counter keeps the page address, the device type (mobile or computer), a very general region (Quebec, elsewhere in Canada or outside Canada) and the general source of the visit, for example a Google search or an ad. It also keeps how the page is read: how far it is scrolled, the time spent on each section and where clicks land. It counts taps on the phone number or email address and the steps of a form. If you tell us how you heard of us, it keeps that answer. It also counts the choices made in the cookie window. It measures how fast pages load and counts missing pages and technical errors. It does not keep the content of your messages. It keeps no IP address and no identifier that could recognize you from one page or visit to the next. Your browser keeps your cookie choice and, until you close the tab, the source of the visit and the first page you saw. This count is separate from Google's cookies, which are used only with your permission.

The contact form

When you write to us, the form sends your name, your email and the subject you picked. It also sends your organisation's name, its headcount, your message and how you heard of us, if you fill them in. We use them to reply and, when you ask for one, to prepare a quote.

The message goes through Resend, an email delivery service, then through Cloudflare, which routes it to the david@telosmachina.ai mailbox hosted by Google. Before it is sent, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is filling in the form, using your IP address and technical details about your browser.

Audience measurement

Only if you agree, the site measures visits with Google Analytics. Its cookies show which pages are read and which ones lead to a request. If you decline, no measurement cookie is set.

The site also counts visits without cookies and without identifying you, as the text at the top of this page explains. That counter runs on Cloudflare and keeps no IP address. Cloudflare Web Analytics, the host's own measurement tool, also counts visits without cookies.

To change your mind, use the "Manage my measurement choices" button at the top of this page. Your browser keeps your choice for six months, then the site asks again. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings.

The free lookup

The occupation, province and rate you enter go to the Telos Rémunération app, which works out the answer. They are tied to no account and no name. The app does not keep them once the answer is shown.

Subscribing to the platform

You subscribe inside the app. You sign in with Google or with a link sent by email, then pay on Stripe's own page. Neither the site nor the app ever sees your card number.

The app keeps the email address verified at sign-in, the work you save there and a record of which features your account used. That data stays in Canada, on Fly.io servers in Toronto and a Supabase database in Montreal. The details are on the app's privacy page.

Who handles your information

Cloudflare hosts the site, counts visits without cookies, checks the form and routes your emails to our mailbox. Like any host, it receives your IP address and the pages you request on every visit.

Google runs audience measurement, with your consent, handles sign-in to the app and hosts the david@telosmachina.ai mailbox.

Resend sends the form's messages.

Stripe processes the subscription payment.

Fly.io and Supabase host the app and its data in Canada.

These providers may process your information outside Quebec: in Ontario for the app's server, and elsewhere, including the United States, for the rest. The laws of those places apply there.

On our side, only the two people on the team can see your information.

How long we keep it

Your messages: two years after our last exchange, then deleted.

Google Analytics statistics: 14 months at most.

The cookieless visit counter on Cloudflare: three months.

Technical logs and Cloudflare Web Analytics: under Cloudflare's and Resend's own policies.

Your cookie choice: six months, in your browser.

Receipts and billing records: six years after the end of the fiscal year, as tax law requires.

Your app account: for as long as your subscription is active. It is deleted when you ask at david@telosmachina.ai.

Once the period ends, we erase your information.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, or get a copy in a common format. You can withdraw your consent at any time. You can also ask us to stop spreading information about you, or to remove a link that harms you.
